life
My God… I didn’t realize how out of shape I was until tonight. It’s been a week since I got my Gold’s Gym membership, and this is the first time I have put it to use. I went in after work around 12:15 AM with my coworker, Josh. We did 30 minutes on the stationary bike to get our heartbeats up to 155-160. Then we walked around the facility to check out the different things we had access to: sauna, pool, jacuzzi, locker rooms, HUGE floor of equipment, Cardio Cinema, basketball court and lots of rooms for classes. Very cool place, and it’s empty when I get off of work.
After we toured the place for ten minutes, we stepped into the basketball court and shot hoops for about twenty minutes. Just screwing around, and seeing how bad we were at making baskets. Then he left, and I stayed to work out my chest and arms. I used the seated bench press, and did about 40 reps; 18 at 35lbs, 12 at 50lbs, 8 at 65lbs, and then back down following the same pattern. Okay, I lied, that’s 76 reps total. Then I went over to the Rowing machine. It’s the one where you sit down, place your feet infront of you on a platform, and then grab two handles and do a rowing motion. I did about 75 reps following a similar pattern as above but at 80, 95, 110 and 170 lbs.
I took a sip of water and left. I decided I am not eating any more fast food, no more Chinese food, no more soda and drinking a LOT of water from now on. Also, I am hitting up the gym every other night. It’s a great feeling to be back at the gym, but man… my arms freakin’ hurt.
I’ll let you guys know how sore I am in the morning. Goodnight!

Hey there,
Not much has been going on and I am currently working on starting a World of Warcraft forum <– My reasons for not posting anything new lately.
However, the holidays are coming up and I am keeping a close eye on the news to get ideas for new entries. I’ll probably post up some more application reviews for the iPhone as filler until I write a good story.
In the meantime, there is an open invitation for my readers to register with this site and write their own entries. Just check out the “Be A Writer” page for a registration link.

Politics
Some people say McCain lost when he introduced his running mate, Sarah Palin. Some people say McCain lost when he was quoted as saying, “The fundamentals of our economy are strong,” which was followed by the crashing of our economy. Some people say McCain lost because of his health, his age, and his dirty way of running his campaign. I say none of that lost him the election.
I say McCain lost the election when Barack Obama came to the American public with promises of change. I say McCain lost the election when Barack Obama flew to Berlin, Germany and delivered a speech to two-hundred thousand people to promote peace and support, and was met with an ear-deafening cheer from the world. I say McCain lost when Barack Obama showed America a light at the end of the tunnel we’ve been going down; a tunnel of hardship, war, and a never ending amount of grief for becoming a joke to the rest of the world.
This is the change we needed, America. As citizens using the right of ours to vote, we were able to end the stale politics of the Republicans and steer our focus to remaining the greatest nation on Earth before it was too late. For the first time, I was able to cast my vote today for our next president. I am twenty years old, and I am proud to say I got out to vote. I didn’t vote for him because he was young, active, African-American, or because of any party affiliation. In fact, I am a registered Republican. I voted for Obama because his views and his plans for this nation are exactly what I think will be good for this country. I think the promotion of peace, humility, and prosperity are what brought us, as a nation, back together.
As I write this, there have been 107 million votes counted so far. McCain has already conceded to Obama, and Obama has given his speech proclaiming the win in the presidential election. As a matter of record keeping, the votes are still being counted, and the number is nothing short of staggering. People were ready to get out and steer this great nation back into a state of prosperity, and we have 107 million people to thank for it. Not everyone voted for Obama, and that was to be expected. The people who voted for McCain believed that he was the better choice of the two, and I applaud them for getting out there and using their right to vote.
I am writing this blog entry not only as a congratulatory note to Senator Barack Obama, but also as the first chapter to the new America I will be living in. I couldn’t be more proud than I am right now of my candidate. I am excited to see where he takes us as a nation in the next four years (hopefully eight), and wish him the best of luck. We are a nation behind him, supporting him, and reminding him who he represents.
Thank you.

App Name: BeejiveIM
Cost: 15.99
Rating: 95
Beejive is a great app for the iPhone. It puts all your favorite instant messaging programs into one, lightweight program. The instant message clients it supports includes AIM, Google Talk, ICQ, Jabber, MSN/Live, MySpace IM and Yahoo Messenger. Once I bought this app, I went ahead and signed up for all the IM clients, put the contacts on my website and now I receive an SMS text message when I receive a message so I can open the app and carry a conversation at any time. It’s fantastic.
The app keeps your accounts in available, even when the app is closed, and only sends a text message when you receive an IM. For $15.99, I believe the price is justified by the ease of use and utility of the actual app. The only reason I give this app a 95 is because of the price. Would have been nice to have picked this up for $5 or something. Oh well!
